We're glad you're here

We are so glad that you have taken the time to visit us on the web! It is our hope that this welcome page will help make any future visit to Servanthood Fellowship less stressful and more rewarding. If you should have any questions please feel free to contact us directly.

Here’s a rundown of what you can find here:

There are a few words that get tossed around at Servanthood, that when not understood in context, could leave you scratching your head. Hopefully this list will prevent that:

  • Battle Cry: Homer is a traveling evangelist, in addition to being the pastor of Servanthood, and this is the name of the ministry he and Robin founded. Visit www.battlecryministries.org for more information.
  • Epicenter: This is the name of our building. Servanthood is a small part of a much larger vision. The Epicenter is a mission center that hosts mission teams from around the world, as well as hosting our Servanthood church body.
  • Foolish People: In all of our righteousness, we are like filthy rags compared to the splendor of God. Scripture tells us that God chooses the foolish things of the world to shame the wise. It is important to us that we never lose sight of how great God is and how little we are, therefore, we are happy to be considered ‘a fellowship of foolish people’.
  • Partnership: This is our word for membership. It may seem like a matter of semantics, but we believe that this word better describes what a church goer should be; personally responsible to one another and accountable to corporate success.
  • Plunger: We use the term plunger to represent the heart of a servant who is willing to meet any need within the church, even the areas of service we might consider beneath us. When a person or family chooses to partner with Servanthood, we present them with a plunger, as a statement to them that this heart of servanthood is at the center of our church philosophy.
  • LOVE ridiculously: This phrase is a challenge to our partnership to love God and to love people far beyond what is easy. Love is the foundation to any measure of Christian victory and we should love God and love people with a heart of joyful sacrifice.

Every church has it’s quirks and ways of doing things differently than other churches or what’s normally expected. Here are some of ours:

  • Homer gets loud!! A lot! He’s not angry; just passionate.
  • We do not offer a Sunday morning Bible study hour for adults or students. However, from time to time, one of our church partners may launch a discipleship series that would take place prior to or after our Sunday morning worship service. Any church partner of servanthood is encouraged and welcomed to start a discipleship opportunity, if God should lead. Discipleship for kids happens during worship.
  • We don’t pass a plate. Tithing is an act of worship, not an act of compulsion. We provide a tithe box that allows people to freely bring their tithes and offering to God. See the map below for the tithe box location.
